Former Norway captain Kjetil Rekdal has slammed the form of Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard this past week.
In his first games as Norway captain, Odegaard struggled in all three World Cup qualifiers against Gibraltar, Turkey and Serbia.
Rekdal told VG: "Today he is completely mediocre and ordinary.
"He plays in the wrong position. It is a challenge for us to get him on this team if we are to play with two strikers. He's a little tucked away on the edge, it's not dangerous.
"When he gets the ball, there are lots of people around him. He is not allowed to play his passes. He should have played inside the field."
