Former Nigeria head coach Sunday Oliseh believes that midfielder Wilfried Ndidi needs to leave Leicester City.
The Foxes are enjoying an excellent season as they sit in the top four of the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers.
But Oliseh thinks that if Ndidi wants to further his career, he needs to move to a historically top club.
The Nigerian has played 21 games for Leicester this term.
"The point is that in the past three or four years, maybe five, he has been the best midfielder we have," Oliseh told Nigeria news outlet Brila.
"And he has not just been the best we needed to run with, he has been the best we have.
"When you see him doing what he's doing in a club that is average; with all due respect, like Leicester, imagine what Ndidi will do if he was playing at Manchester City.
"He is the man that is not so tall like me, but look at the heart, he has a big heart.
"The man is everywhere he works so hard and even the new coach at Leicester, he's still his first choice.
"Each time I see him play, I have always been impressed that he can do much much better.
"I am very very surprised that they've not bought him.
"He is the best we have and in the senior team, we don't have a player like Ndidi.
"He is technical, tactical and strong even though he's not a heavyweight in size, but he punches like one."
