Former Premier League footballer Joey Barton has been cleared over a possible assault.
Barton, now 39, denied that he was the person who shoved then-Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel after a League One tie between Barnsley and Fleetwood Town, who Barton was managing at the time in 2019.
Stendel gave evidence that someone pushed him in the tunnel, resulting in him smashing against a metal structure and injuring his face.
Video footage showed Barton running down the tunnel shortly after Stendel had made his way into the area.
However, the jury found Barton not guilty after two hours.
