Former Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd is prepared to help finance a deal to keep Alan Shearer in charge next season.
The Sunday Sun says Shepherd is willing to help finance any attempt to keep Shearer at St James's Park next season.
"I am willing to do anything I can to help," said Shepherd.
