Rotherham United have been contacted by former Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren over the vacant managerial position at the club, according to talkSPORT.
Rotherham are currently on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Neil Warnock and in a surprise link, it has been revealed that McClaren is interested in taking charge of the Millers.
McClaren was sacked by Newcastle back in March but despite the 55-year-old's struggles at St. James' Park, he is keen to get back into the coaching caper as soon as possible and has reportedly contacted Rotherham about the job.
However, it is suggested that the South Yorkshire club is unlikely to bring in the former England boss who is looking to repair the reputation that was damaged during his stint with the Magpies.
