Seattle Sounders have taken former Mexico international Gonzalo Pineda on trial.
The 31-year old former CD Guadalajara, UNAM and Queretaro midfielder has linked up with the Sounders squad ahead of the 2014 MLS season.
Pineda, played 44 times for El Tri between 2004 and 2008, has been joined by young Ecuadorian midfielder John Arroyo as both players look to win a spot on Seattle's roster for the new campaign.
