Former Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre is backing Real Madrid's move for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Aguirre is in Abu Dhabi for the Club World Cup and aware of Real's plans for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa.

The Mexican said, "Kepa is an extraordinary goalkeeper, he would be a new signing of Real Madrid with young people and Spaniards.

"He can be the face for Madrid of the Zidanes and Pavones."

Aguirre added: "Real Madrid is a favourite to take this tournament. They're good with veterans and young players."
