Former Olympique Marseille president Bernard Tapie says he'd make Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante his first signing.

Tapie led OM to victory in the Champions League during his time in charge.

He declared: "If I were president of the great OM, which player of France would I recruit? Kanté incontestably.

"Now the most gifted of all is undoubtedly (Kylian) Mbappé. He's going to be a phenomenon who will join the very very big ones. At 19 years old he's amazing. He has huge spikes, phenomenal ball driving, he's nice, he does not have a big head ... That's it.

"A guy like that, you do not let him go."
