Adnan Januzaj has accused Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho of not giving him a chance before he was sold to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2017.
The United youth product sealed a move to Spain after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho.
Januzaj is confident he has the ability to play for a club of United's stature, but insists he made the right decision joining the San Sebastian based club.
He said: "I didn't really get a chance because at the time he [Mourinho] probably wanted more experienced players with names.
"For me it wasn't a problem. I had to move on and now I am happy in Spain and making a difference. I always knew I had the quality to play for Manchester United. I know what I am capable of.
"They didn't give me a chance but it's not a problem I am happy in Spain and enjoying my football."
