Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has paid tribute to Marcus Rashford.
Writing in De Telegraaf, RVP revealed he'd spoken with Rashford about his charity work.
"He has just turned 23 and it is amazing what he has already achieved in his life, both on and off the field," Van Persie penned.
“I spoke to him for a long time and he shared what made him fight for school meals for all the children. That has been quite a struggle with the government, but he succeeded. And also in collaboration with the government.
“They used to have their struggles with his two brothers together, there was sometimes a shortage of food. Every child has the right to a meal, he says. If he then makes a hat-trick in the Champions League, I think that's fantastic. But I think even more beautiful what he shows out there.
"Most players at that age are only concerned with themselves, do not have a broad vision and only want to improve themselves."
