Ex-Man Utd striker Macheda a star in Greece

Former Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda has spectacularly rebuilt his career in Greece.

The 28 year-old centre-forward is playing the best football of his career with Athens giants Panathinaikos.

Macheda is the second top goalscorer in the Super League with 12 goals and his form has convinced his club to prepare for new contract talks.

TMW says Panathinaikos are eager to deal in Macheda, whose current contract expires in June.

For his part, the former Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City striker is keen to discuss terms - though is also fielding interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
