Ex-Man Utd striker Chicharito would 'play for free' amidst injury crisis

Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez has offered himself to Manchester United.

The Mexican striker won two Premier League titles with the Red Devils.

And Chicharito says he will play at United for free once his contract with LA Galaxy expires this year.

Discussing United's attempts to recruit a new forward, the 34-year-old told PA: "If United came for me then I'd say 'yes, I'll play for free.' Of course, you know, I'd do that.

"But I also want to be very respectful to my club. I am playing very consistently and in my mind and my world, my conviction is all about winning a championship with LA Galaxy.

"But to get to that outcome, every day I try to be as healthy as I can and as good as I can.

"In the future, if things happen then they happen. But in my mind I am 100 per cent with LA."
