Ex-Man Utd playmaker Lingard open to joining Everton as 'last resort'

Manchester United free-agent Jesse Lingard is considering Everton as a last resort for his next club.

The England star is deciding his future this summer, as he is out of contract at Man United.

Lingard is wanted by West Ham United, after his successful loan spell during the second half of the 2020/2021 season with David Moyes' team.

According to The Sun, Everton are eager to sign Lingard, and they believe a deal can be done.

However, the source claims Lingard only sees the Toffees as a last resort, if he cannot get a better deal.

The 29-year-old is not sure Everton is the best place to rebuild his career, after their narrow escape from relegation last term.
