Former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero is ready to sign with Granada.

The Mirror says the Argentine has been a free agent since his contract expired at the end of the season.

Romero endured a difficult final season at Old Trafford, feeling hard done by when he was unable to complete an exit in 2020.

He remained a player on the peripheries last term as De Gea and Henderson battled it out for the starting role.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that talks between club and player are at final stages and a deal could be completed soon.

It is also reported that Chelsea were interested before they signed Marcus Bettinelli earlier this summer.
