Former Manchester United goalkeeper coach Frans Hoek says Donny van de Beek should stay next season.
The midfielder has struggled in his first campaign in England.
Hoek told NOS: "Donny is now settled and knows what to expect. He has not yet been able to show what he can do.
"The second year is going to be very important to him and that's where he's going to show it. United also wants to see Donny at work and they'll let him do it.
"We have to be careful not to say too soon that he did not make it."
