Ex-Man Utd keeper Bosnich urges van Gaal to go after Tottenham keeper Lloris

Mark Bosnich believes Manchester United should make a strong play for Hugo Lloris.

As the Red Devils' goalkeeping saga rolls on, the former gloveman has identified Tottenham captain Lloris as the perfect replacement for David De Gea, who continues to agitate for a big-money move to Real Madrid.

United have also been linked with Ajax number one Jasper Cillessen but former Australia international Bosnich feels French star Lloris is a better fit for the Old Trafford club.

"The English Premier League is definitely the most physically demanding in the world and it takes foreign players quite a while to adjust to that," Bosnich told talkSPORT.

"We saw during De Gea's first season, it was a bit of a struggle. Lloris knows the Premier League inside out and he's had success."

Of Cillessen, Bosnich added: "I'm not 100 per cent certain about him. I think he did OK at the World Cup, but he's not one who stands out in terms of being dominant."
