Former Manchester United defender Kevin Moran has hailed the progress of Jonny Evans.

Moran was impressed by the Ulsterman's performance in United's defeat at Chelsea.

"From the very first time I saw Jonny I could see that this was a young man who wasn't going to get fazed by anything," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"He is only going to get better and better as he learns about the position and also about bossing others.

"I think he has it in him to do that and organize well. I have no doubt he will be a big central figure in years to come."
