Former Manchester United defender Daley Blind has collapsed during an Ajax friendly game.
The 30-year-old has a history of myocardial issues, and was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).
He was then given the all clear to resume sports, but it appears he fell to the ground in the closing parts of Ajax's game with Hertha Berlin on Tuesday.
It appears the ICD sent an alert as Blind fell to the ground, indicating a possible cardiac issue.
"Daley Blind's ICD went off," Ajax boss Erik Ten Haag said to Ziggo Sport.
"He got subbed off straight away and he is feeling OK now, he is feeling fine.
"We will do research about this now."
