Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia won't hear criticism of Paul Pogba.

Now home in Ecuador with LDU Quito, Valencia says Pogba was always destined to be a star.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "Pogba is a star. I've known him since he was 14 years old.

"If I know what he needs? I heard a lot of rumours about (Zinedine) Zidane and Real Madrid, but he never said anything.

"He is reserved and intelligent. If United give him this love, Pogba will shine as before."
