Former Manchester United captain Darren Fletcher believes Luke Shaw is now a first-choice for manager Jose Mourinho.

Shaw scored against Leicester in the Premier League curtain-raiser - his first goal for the club - and his early-season form saw him called up to Gareth Southgate's England squad.

And Fletcher, who made 340 appearances for United, believes Shaw looks the real deal.

“United may have answered their questions at full-back," he said.

“Luke Shaw started the season fantastically and he looked good again [against Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday night]."
