Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is being linked with the Australia job.
The Mirror says Van Gaal could be set for a sensational return to management after reportedly emerging as a contender for the Australia national job.
The experienced Dutchman led Holland to third place at the 2014 World Cup before taking over at Manchester United.
Van Gaal has been out of work since he was sacked by the Old Trafford hierarchy in 2016.
But the 66-year-old is now in the running to lead the Socceroos to Russia 2018.
A delegation from Down Under are now reportedly in Holland to speak to Van Gaal and Van Marwijk, with the latter set to be interviewed on Wednesday.
