Ex-Man Utd boss Mourinho: Fans shouldn't get carried away with transfer rumours

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says watching the summer market has been a new experience.

Mourinho also says fans should focus on the players they have - rather than who they could buy.

He told Marca: "For the first time I experienced a summer of unemployment. Fans often focus on new signings, but others give visibility and stability to the championships.

"The big leagues are such thanks to those who play their entire career almost there...

"The usual. Then comes the salt and pepper. But I understand the way the fans live this period."

He added: "I came to Spain because I wanted to coach Real Madrid, and because I wanted to try to be the first coach to win the championships of the English, Italian and Spanish."
