Steve McClaren has revealed how Sir Alex Ferguson ignored his advice before Manchester United clinched the 1999 Champions League trophy.
The Red Devils drew level with Bayern Munich in the 91st minute thanks to Teddy Sheringham's goal.
United assistant McClaren recommended caution to Ferguson, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer popped up two minutes to seal a famous victory and the treble for United.
McClaren said: "We had four attackers on. Once we scored I said to the gaffer, 'Are we going to put ourselves into a more balanced shape? Let's regroup, think about extra-time.'
"He just said, 'sit down Stevie, sit down — this game isn't over yet'.
"That's what he had, that perception and feeling he knew what was going to happen."
