Former Swansea and Manchester City striker Wilfried Bon yhas been spotted playing for League Two side Newport County.

The club held a closed doors friendly against Swindon Town, winning the match 2-1.

What surprised many was that Bony was involved for Newport, scoring the winning goal.

Bony has trained with the Exiles for periods since 2019, keeping in shape as he eyes the next stage of his career.

The 33-year-old is best known for the time he spent at Swansea, where he was extremely prolific, which earned him a move to Manchester City.

Bony was at NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch league during the second half of last season.
