Former Manchester City midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali has been snapped up by Kalmar FF.

The Nigerian joined City three years ago, spending time away on-loan with five different clubs.

Nwakali left permanently at the end of last season, signing for Poland's Raków Częstochowa. However, he has now left for Sweden.

He said, "It is most important for me to come to a club where I can grow and develop as a football player. I have been loaned on several occasions in recent years and there was no alternative for me once again.

"Kalmar feels like a very good choice for me and I feel that they will be able to develop myself into a better football player."
