Former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown hailed their performance for victory over Liverpool.
Without an injured Erling Haaland, City won 4-1 on the day.
Brown later said: "It was a fantastic performance from City and great control in the second-half.
"Once they got to grips with Liverpool, the way they moved the ball was just so comfortable.
"(Jack) Grealish will probably steal the headlines but they really outclassed Liverpool today.
"Liverpool looked really deflated in the second-half with no fight or organisation."
