Former Manchester City star Trevor Sinclair has defended the transfer moves of manager Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard has often been criticized for the sheer scale of his spending with the Citizens, especially in defense.
Now the champions are being linked with moves for Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and Tottenham's Harry Kane.
"I've always been quite impressed with Man City since Pep took over," Sinclair said on talkSPORT.
"They keep their cards very close to their chest. If you look at any gossip pages to do with sport, it's very rarely you hear anything about Manchester City.
"I think Txiki [Begiristain - City director of football] does his work, he keeps it very private. They'll be a couple of rumours and usually, it's red herrings. Where they pretend they're going for someone and they'll leave that player alone for their actual main target.
"I'm not surprised they're keeping their cards close to their chest and letting leaks come out to the media saying we're interested in this player and that player."
