Former Manchester City star Vincent Kompany is offering to pay the salaries of his players at Anderlecht for the coming month.

Anderlecht want the players to take a pay cut as they are dealing with the lack of games and money coming in due to the coronavirus outbreak.

But player-manager Kompany does not want the players to make that sacrifice, and has offered to foot the bill, per Het Laatste Nieuwsin Belgium.

Anderlecht are not the only club taking this stand, as Juventus and Barcelona have already agreed pay deferrals with their squad.

Clubs depend on match-day and television revenue that has disappeared since the outbreak.
