Sven-Goran Eriksson says the he would welcome the favourite's tag for Leicester City next season.
The Swedish former England and Manchester City boss' Foxes are likely to be installed as Championship favourites for the 2011/12 campaign as he looks to spend more money in the summer.
Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury that having lofty expectations is something that he and the club can certainly deal with.
"I hope we are the favourites when we start in August. We like to be the favourite," he said.
"Whoever comes down will make it hard and then you have (promoted) Brighton and Southampton too. They are big clubs with big ambitions.
"We need to build on the good things we have been doing. Normally it is good to watch our team because you know you will see some brilliant play and combinations. But it is not enough and hasn't been enough."
