Former Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits he's long been a Liverpool fan.

Eriksson, 70, admitted he has a secret love for the Reds, but couldn't allow it to be public knowledge during his stint as the England boss.

"I've always been a Liverpool fan," Eriksson said, according to Sky Sports. "I can say that now, I couldn't say that when I was in England but I was always since I was [young]. My father as well, he is 90, still a Liverpool fan.

"But I still think City will win [the Premier League this year]."

He added: "If something comes up I will take it, I still want to work. In the meantime, I keep busy with the local team."
