Ex-Loko coach Syomin slams Rangnick after Man Utd move

Former Lokomotiv Moscow coach Yury Syomin has hit out at Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick has left Loko as technical director to take the caretaker manager's job to June at Manchester United.

Syomin said, “I look calmly, react calmly. Probably, the leaders and the coach should react somehow. Maybe call Rangnik on the phone: what's going on? He will advise Lokomotiv by phone, and Manchester United will be on the spot.

"In how many years will this new Lokomotiv strategy bear fruit? Three years from now? My manager was not allowed to leave. How so? A person works, he must constantly see the players in order to advise. A person must come to work. I don't understand this manner. Maybe it's something new today.

"Lokomotiv was a champion, won Cups, won silver medals, played three times in the Champions League in recent years. We spent 40 million and he left. The situation is very strange for me. I think I have the right to say this, because after all, in Lokomotiv I started from scratch."
