Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam says the influence of Sir Kenny Dalglish on the club's revival should not be ignored.
Having been part of the recruitment drive during FSG's first summer in control of the purse strings at Anfield, Adam believes getting Liverpool back to the summit of the English game has been a collective effort from all of those involved.
“One of the big things in Jurgen's time, under his reign, was you were never allowed to touch the sign until you actually won a trophy," said Adam to the Liverpool Echo.
“The great players, they've won trophies over the years at Liverpool and the players that are there now will be going down in the history books being the first team, in 30 years, to win the Premier League, it's incredible.
“The revolution really did start under Kenny.
“He revitalised it, he brought it back together because there were lots of issues off the field with the previous owners and Liverpool were able to then go and compete with the top clubs for the players they managed to bring in."
