Ex-Lille chief Luis Campos claims Galtier ideal choice for Everton

Former Lille chief Luis Campos says that Christophe Galtier would be the ideal manager for Everton.

The club's former sporting director believes the Frenchman, who recently departed the newly crowned French Ligue 1 winners, could do an excellent job for the Merseyside club.

Everton are searching for a new manager after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, who has gone back to Real Madrid.

Campos worked with 54-year-old Galtier at Lille and believes the latter's style is suited to the Premier League.

"Christophe has all the qualities to coach in England, technically he is very astute and is extremely detailed in his planning when preparing a team," Campos told Sky Sports News.

"He likes a 4-4-2 system, which would fit with the Premier League and he is a fantastic motivator in the dressing room.

"He likes to build a side with quality and youth, he is someone that can develop a team ethic, and he is also a fantastic human being."
