Demarai Gray is happy with his first weeks at Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Leicester City winger left England for Bayer in the final days of the winter market.
“Leaving this familiar environment was not easy. However, I have come to the conclusion that I have to get out of my comfort zone in order to take the next step in my development," he told Bayer's website.
"I am very aware of the challenges Bayer Leverkusen and Germany I will face. I could have stayed in England, there were offers."
Gray scored on debut in last Saturday's victory over Stuttgart.
He also said: “I like the club and its philosophy. Young players get a chance here, and I immediately had a good feeling about (coach) Peter Bosz.
"We spoke on the phone twice. His philosophy is great. He wants his teams to always have the ball; good positional play should bring the attackers into final situations."
