Former Everton and Leicester City football chief Steve Walsh has joined the front office at Charlotte FC.

Walsh joined Everton from Leicester City in 2016 having been deemed as the brains behind their spectacular Premier League triumph back in the 2015/16 season, as his recruitment of talent proved vital in the Foxes' success.

Now Walsh has taken on the role as 'special advisor' at MLS team Charlotte, who plan to enter the USA's top-tier of professional football next year.

The club was only founded back in mid-December and they already have a stadium built, which can house over 75,000 supporters.

Charlotte are part of a new MLS expansion franchise, which will launch next year.
