Former Leeds midfielder Michael Brown has questioned manager Jesse Marsch's credentials.

Brown asked whether Marsch was 'experienced enough' to be dealing with the pressures of a relegation battle, as he spoke to BBC Five Live.

"I think sometimes you've got to go back to basics. It's difficult with the group of players that they've got, the injuries, the suspensions, etc. But as a [Marcelo] Bielsa side, staying in games and all being solid and driving and getting a point was never in their remit for such a long period of time.

"When a new manager comes in and tries to play with a little bit more control but still wants to get into attacking areas, wants to open up. They've been far too open, I bet you they wish they'd just banked in and gone 4-5-1 and said 'we're going to be really difficult to beat' at times. They're not doing that.

"You talk about the discipline side of it, making key decisions. Stuart Dallas, bad injury for him as well, centre halves keep getting injured, suspensions, missing Bamford, recruitment in January. We can go on and on and on about where they had to improve. This manager coming in as well, is he experienced enough in the Premier League, in this fight, to actually take this role on?"
