Australian national team boss Holger Osieck feels that Harry Kewell would be better suited playing in his national league to finish his career. The 33-year old has finished his spell with Turkish club Galatasaray and is pondering his future in the game.
Reports suggest he is holding talks with A-League club Melbourne Victory and Socceroos boss Osieck says perhaps it would be of benefit to Australian football if he returned to the domestic competition to help nurture the country's talented youngsters.
"I would definitely welcome him," Osieck said. "If a player of his calibre would come back to Australia it would be extraordinary.
"I don't know how realistic it is (the link with the Victory) but if it really happens then that is what the A-League needs - big names.
"In the shade of the big names, the young players can develop. I think it is the perfect combination."
