Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson says llan Meslier needs greater competition.
Leeds released Kiko Casilla last weekend, leaving them with just 22-year-old Meslier and 21-year-old Kristoffer Klaesson on their books.
While Meslier has performed admirably in his two years at Elland Road, there's no doubt Leeds could do with adding an experienced back-up to the Frenchman.
"Leeds have to bring in a more experienced goalkeeper now to play alongside Meslier, someone who he can learn from every day," Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
"He also needs someone to push him and keep him on his toes. Regardless of whether Kiko went or not, he was surplus to requirements and they need that number two in."
