Ex-Leeds, Celtic striker Viduka named in Sport Australia Hall of Fame

Former Leeds United, Celtic and Middlesbrough striker Mark Viduka has been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2021.

Viduka was named Professional Footballers Australia Alex Tobin OAM Medal winner in 2011 and is already a member of the Football Federation of Australia Hall of Fame.

He is widely recognised as one of the greatest Australian football players of all time, scoring 11 goals in 43 appearances for his country, while also captaining them to the last-16 of the World Cup in 2006: their greatest finish in history.

The 46-year-old enjoyed arguably the greatest period of his career during his time at Leeds, with perhaps the best achievement during his time at the club a Champions League semi-final that he played a crucial role in.
