Ex-Leeds boss Hockaday joins Coventry

Former Leeds United boss Dave Hockaday has joined Coventry City.

Hockaday has been named Coventry's new development coach.

He will work with the Under 21 side and alongside first-team manager Steven Pressley.

Chief executive Steve Waggott said: "This is a pivotal role within the club and we are delighted to have Dave on board.

"Dave's vast amount of experience at Academy and first-team level made him the ideal candidate to take on the position, and he is widely respected within the game as a brilliant coach."

Pressley said: "I'm delighted to welcome Dave to the football club and looking forward to working alongside him.

"Whilst working with the Under 21s, he will also work alongside me and Neil MacFarlane with the first-team throughout the week, and I believe his experience will help bridge the gap between the Under-21s and the first-team."
