Former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is being linked with a sensational move to Bournemouth.
The Daily Mail says club officials met with prospective new owner Bill Foley in Las Vegas this week, where the appointment of a new manager was high on the topics being discussed.
The Cherries parted ways with Scott Parker in August and placed Gary O'Neil in charge on an interim basis, but the former midfielder is not expected to be in the running for the job on a permanent basis.
However, Bielsa is on the list of candidates to become the first boss under Foley's regime, once he passes the Premier League's owners' and directors' test and can complete the takeover.
Bielsa has been out of work since being sacked by Leeds in February, with the club two points outside the Premier League's bottom three. He was replaced by Jesse Marsch, who eventually prevented the side from slipping back to the Championship.
