Ex-Juventus chief Moggi slams Napoli players: They can't handle pressure

Former Juventus GM Luciano Moggi has slammed Napoli after seeing their title push fall away.

Moggi was left unimpressed by Napoli's six goal thrashing of Sassuolo on Sunday.

He wrote for Libero: "Too often, in fact, we found ourselves talking about the alternation of the unexpected and it was difficult to analyse results, attributable to the skill or mediocrity of the contenders. Napoli is a recent example.

"And even if many have wanted to understand this victory (against Sassuolo) as the sign of the rebirth of the Campania team, for us, it is instead the sign of unconditional surrender of a team that having already lost a championship in the hotel, and subsequently never win.

"They probably cannot stand up to the pressure of the city, also suggesting that many players have had their time in Naples."
