Ex-Juventus chief Moggi: Napoli won't be sold to Qataris

Former Juventus chief Luciano Moggi can't see Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis selling the club to the Qataris.

A Qatari consortium, involving Diego Maradona, is understood to be in contact with De Laurentiis about buying Napoli.

But Moggi says: "Naples is a place especially when you win a game everyone is celebrated, but when you lose everyone gets depressed.

"The recent Azzurri victories were important, but we have to wait for to see if the club is recovering. The defence unfortunately has suffered much because of weaknesses in midfield."

On takeover rumours, Moggi insisted: "De Laurentiis will sell to the sheikhs? Napoli will not be given to the sheikhs."
