Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has jumped to the defence of Mario Balotelli.

The Brescia striker, formerly of the Nerazzurri, has been hammered by Giorgio Chiellini in the Juventus captain's new book.

But Moratti told RAI 2: "I am with (Marco) Tardelli as an idea ... I was sorry, also because I liked Chiellini and I know he is an intelligent and good boy.

"The idea that he vented himself like this I did not expect it.

"I'm sorry for a good boy like Balotelli, who is always treated in this way."
