Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Tommaso Berni is confident Romelu Lukaku will prove his quality when Serie A resumes.

On-loan from Chelsea, Lukaku's return was plagued by a thigh injury before the World Cup break up.

But Berni told TMW: "I know him well, I know how much he wants it, how much he cares about Inter and doing well for himself and his teammates.

"He is harboring a positive anger that will transform, I hope, already at the World Cup, but I am convinced that in the second part of the season, Lukaku will be decisive.

"Unfortunately, injuries sometimes happen in the worst moments, but when his help and contribution is needed he will get in shape and be devastating."
