Alberto Zaccheroni supports Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti's stand against Mauro Icardi.
Spalletti has refused to select Icardi over the way the club has been forced into "negotiating" his return to training.
“I don't have a precise idea of what happened because it's not clear where this saga started, but something irreparable must have happened," Zaccheroni – a former Nerazzurri Coach - told Radio Anch'io Sport.
“It seems to me that the club have got into a situation that I don't see an easy way out of.
“Spalletti did what I would've done. Seeing as he's been missing for some time, an explanation needs to be given to the team.
“I would've asked for an explanation. I don't think there was one. It wasn't agreed between Inter and whoever represented the player.
“He doesn't want to give any explanations. Spalletti expects explanations. The club have negotiated in one way and the Coach has another way, which none of the directors expected."
