Former Hull City winger Geovanni has joined MLS club San Jose Earthquakes as their Designated Player. The 30-year old Brazilian becomes the Quakes first-ever DP after passing a medical on Monday morning and pending his International Transfer Certificate, is set for his MLS debut on August 28.
Geovanni kicked off his career with homeland club Cruzeiro in 1997 and has since enjoyed spells with Spanish giants Barcelona, Portuguese outfit Benfica and English club Manchester City among others.
He last played for Hull in the English Premier League last season but his contract expired in July this year.
