Ex-Genoa striker Eldor Shomurodov happy making Roma move

Former Genoa striker Eldor Shomurodov is delighted making his move to Roma.

The 26-year-old has joined on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for €17.5m plus €2.5m in bonuses.

“I am definitely excited. It's a huge step for me. I will try to showcase my game and make the fans happy," he told Roma's official website.

Roma are one of the best teams in Italy. And there are many positive aspects that attracted me.

“It all got decided very quickly. They were very eager to get it signed and I think they acted very quickly. So that was positive too. And now I'm here, of course.

“I always try to aim high. So that's also very important for me to take on that next challenge.

“I would like, first of all, to help my team to win trophies and overcome challenges too.

“I will do everything I can in that regard. I want to do my very best and keep improving."
