Ex-Fulham defender Hangeland: Man Utd players were standing or just jogging

Former Fulham defender Brede Hangeland believes Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is on the brink of blowing his top.

Hangeland is now commentating on the Premier League for Norwegian football.

After United's defeat at Brighton on Sunday, Hangeland wrote for TV2: "Mourinho is about to lose it.

"There have been two games this season, and it's early, but I'm struggling to see how the Mourinho project is going to work. Mourinho has spent 400 million pounds on this team, and at Amex Stadium it was far weaker than Brighton.

"And worst of all; players were standing or just jogging with the match having 10 minutes to run.

"Manchester United has truly world-class players. Twelve men were in the World Cup and seven of them reached at least the semifinals. When players seem to get worse - not better - under the manager's leadership, the club has to ask some questions."
