Former Fulham captain Danny Murphy supports the sale of Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham have been strongly linked with a move for the young left winger and while the Whites are undoubtedly better with him in the side, Murphy thinks it's probably the right time to let him go.

He told the Mirror: "I think with all the speculation surrounding a young player it can affect you, so for his sake and for the club's sake it would be better to just get it done and for everyone to move on.

"He's a wonderful talent, and he would learn more playing another full season in the Championship but it's difficult to focus when you've had your head turned.

"For me, it might be best for Fulham to just get the best deal done and let him learn at a Premier League club."
